      • Fields of Study:
      • 1. The theory and practice of phylogenetic inference, especially the relationship between evidence and discovery, a priori and a posteriori weighting, taxonomic congruence and total evidence (both the sampling of terminal taxa and phylogenetically informative characters), and the nature of accuracy and confidence in hypothesis choice.
      • 2. The importance of ontogeny as a constraining force in evolution and as a source of macroevolutionary phenomena.
